Backpocket

Backpocket is a native iPhone, iPad and Mac client for Backlog.md boards. It reads and writes the Markdown files in your repository or selected folder directly. There is no Backpocket account and no service in the middle.

Your boards, where they already live

  • Connect to GitHub, use a local clone, or choose a folder.
  • See in-flight work across projects, browse a project as a list or board, and search the local cache when offline.
  • Update supported task fields without reformatting unrelated Markdown.
  • Keep interrupted writes visible in the outbox and make conflicts explicit.

Backpocket also offers an anonymous, read-only path for exploring a public Backlog.md repository without signing in.

Documentation

  • Getting started explains the available connection paths.
  • Working with boards covers reading, editing, offline data and conflicts.
  • Support has practical troubleshooting steps and the contact route.
  • Privacy explains what the app stores, what it sends and what it does not collect.
